THE INVENTION OF ZERO
Chris Greenhalgh's new collection of poetry is to be published by Bloodaxe on 10 June 2007. THE INVENTION OF ZERO contains poems about William Friedkin, the distinguished American film director, perhaps best known for The Exorcist. These are entitled THE ART OF FILM and MEETING BILLY. William Friedkin is planning a film of Chris's novel, COCO AND IGOR, dealing with the tempestuous and artistically productive affair between Chanel and Stravinsky in Paris in 1920.

The sealed letter
Iris Tupholme of HarperCollins Canada has bought Canadian volume rights in Emma Donoghue's forthcoming historical novel, THE SEALED LETTER, for publication in 2008.

Al gore on CLIMATE CHANGE
Following the success of Al Gore’s AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH, in film and book forms, the former US Vice President is now ‘training’ people around the world to spread the word about the danger of climate change. The University of Cambridge Programme for Industry (CPI) brought Mr Gore’s training initiative to the UK for the first time last week [26-27 March].
